2011-12 Game schedule for all sports
CONGRATULATIONS to our 7th/8th grade Basketball Team. They won the 2011 ISL Championship by winning their final game versus New Garden Friends School. This is 2 consecutive seasons of our 7th/8th grade team being undefeated champions. Actually, the 8th graders who have been with us for 3 years have been undefeated for 3 years. They were undefeated champions of the 5th/6th grade league as 6th graders. This feat is unprecedented in the ISL history...congratulations to Coach Long and all of the players!
Grades 5-8
Our junior varsity program is designed to provide an athletic opportunity for students in grades 5-8. We offer our students a sense of friendly competition with students from other regional public and private schools. The objective is to give our students a chance to enjoy athletic participation in the afternoons following school and to help them learn what it means to be part of a team.
Grades 6-8 athletics are co-educational and include soccer (early fall), flag football (mid-fall), and volleyball (winter). Grades 5-8 can participate in basketball (late winter) and cross country (spring). Any student may participate in athletics as long as they show satisfactory school attendance, academic progress, and behavior. Teams are open to athletes of any skill level and do not involve try-outs. Teams play against four other local private schools, and each sport includes a championship tournament.
